got it

I understand what your trying to say but I have to disagree with you a bit. Any dog can be agressive. I've found out though that most "Agreesive Dog Lists" just list the dogs that would hurt you the most if they were to nip you.

Atlanta, GA? That is two hours from me. I live in Alabama. ATL has a nice shutzhund club you need to check out when you get there.

The statistics on dog bites come from a national registery. These are the bites that are severe enough to require medical attention. This list is used by insurance companies to deny coverage to persons owning the dogs on that list. If a homeowner can't get coverage on a rental property occupied by an owner of one of these dogs, then it's not hard to understand why they ban specific breeds......GSD's, Dobes, Rotties, Malamutes. Pitbulls are generally the top 5. Even if your GSD is a service dog, there is no law that says you can't be denied the rental. In the US, insurance companies control almost every aspect of our lives. Don't blame the rental agent or the landlord; it is what it is. There are rentals available that allow GSD's but it might take a while to find a suitable one.

interesting, stil BS lol but interesting lol

by Blitzen on 17 December 2012 - 14:12

Well, BS or not, its the way it is in the US. GSD owners have a more difficult time finding a rental.
