Does anyone have a suggestion for a good trainer for German shepherds in Spokane?  I have a two year old and I would love to get another after the new year.

i would prefer to establish a relationship with a trainer who also does a phenomenal job with breeding also.  Would prefer not to deal with a glorified puppy mill.

Thanks

Perhaps if you contact their schutzhund club you can meet the gsd folks over there who are working and titling their dogs, it is a USA club.

This was also on the USA club list,

Tri-State SchH Association

You have a good one with Willie, right there in your
back yard! Can't beat that!! Thumbs Up

Depending on your choice of bloodlines, you may want
to meet up with this lady,  she has at least a couple
generations of her own working line breeding that she
actually works, titles etc:

Vianden

or, for some good working showlines
Theishof

Neither are located in Spokane, but are within a reasonable
drive. Teeth Smile

Vianden is definitely somebody who is probably under the radar for most folks, unless they're out in her area and involved in the breed; but 4 home-bred generations of working-titled dogs that have an SV show rating and/or an International All-Breed Canine Assn. [IABCA] conformation championship [using the FCI breed standard], AND are as a familial group pretty damn healthy dogs that live long lives and are active well into their 'teens all speak to the outstanding job she does.  The only caveat I can offer regarding getting a Vianden puppy is this:  the buyer better be prepared to be scrutinzed closely before she's going to entrust one of her babies to them, and the buyer also better be looking for a long-term relationship with both a dog AND a breeder...13, 14 years is not unusual for Vianden dogs, and this breeder keeps tabs on her pups, even when they're long, long past being pups.

She also DOES take her dogs back, without exception, regardless of the reason when, where or why.  If I lived close enough to her for it to be a day trip, this is be a breeder I'd love to have a dog from.

Stacey, I sent you a private message regarding a breeder/trainer.  Hope you got it :) I also second...or third the Vianden suggestions.
