Makes sense, though Sam (the dog in the episode) was WGSL, or are there multiple episodes with K9s?

Yep, thats definitely the CSI actor, but it's certainly not one of the dogs who played "Sam" since Sam was a black/red saddleback.
I wonder if the sable's owner just got lucky at a shoot and Danson agreed to let them take his photo with their dog?

Hello All...
The picture is a photo that was taken of the sire of the litter on the set of the cable TV series Damages which starred Ted Danson and Glen Close. The sire, SG Nathan vom Fegelhof has made several TV appearances to include Law & Order and Boardwalk Empire. He also appeared in the most recent Batman movie. Besides all of that and more importantly, he has an awesome pedigree and is extremely accomplished in the Schutzhund world. I am very excited about holding onto one of the male pups out of his most recent litter with my bitch. We have nine pups on the ground and they are all doing well.

The first thing I said when I saw the pictures was "hey thats Ted Danson"...lol.
