WOW.. Man --- Go watch TV or something. Drinking and Forum'ing can get you in trouble. ;)

The linage is the dogs ancestors.. The Von/Vom (English meaing "of") could be the breeders kennel name or the dog it is from. Kind of like in Spanish where "de" is used.

However, the difference between Von and Vom is much more than that. I know one is used to say from a location/area but only in a certain situation. I do not speak any German but I read about this before and it's actually kind of complicated.

I see them both used often. There are others on here who are way more suited to explain in detal than I. This is just my very basic understanding of it.

The lineage is is the dogs ancestors,  the breeder uses a kennel name but not all dogs with a kennel name are related nor of the same lineage.  the only way of telling is to look at the pedigree.

The difference between von and vom has to do with the gender of the noun in the prepositional phrase, that's all.  It's the same word/same meaning (from, out of, of the....kind of all the same meaning)

Mario, take a break and come back tomorrow when you sobered up... you might be able phrase your question better. ;-)

If you breed dogs you can choose your own kennel name, with German dogs you don't take part of the sire and dam's name.  Again, von/vom only depends on the gender of the noun in the prepositional phrase, so that depends on the kennel name you choose...
