Please Critique!
What do you think of him so far?

6 1/2 months old
Male (Intact)
approx. 65-70lbs (haven't weighed him in a while, so don't know exact)
24" at the Shoulder

At this age, very nice topline, croup and tailset, little long hocks, pasterns need little more angle and front feel somewhat flat, front upper am a bit short and needs more fore chest development. Nice pigment, head and neck. A beautiful sable boy of good size.

excuse me -- am I the only one that read the sign???? you're asking for a critique of a PUPPY that has achieved some kind of Champion status? I don't get it -- under what system is this dog earning best of breed AND CHAMPION? at this age -- i strongly object -- as nice as he may be - he is hardly mature enough nor developed to his final conformation... help me understand this please and thank you.

PINERIDGE, sorry for any confusion. I just wanted to see how others thought he was developing so far. This just happened to be the most recent picture I had of him. It was taken at a local UKC show...he was entered in the PUPPY class, just did it for fun experience and exposure. He was only up against other puppies his age, not the adults/mature dogs. I understand that he is no where near what he will be once he matures in a few years. And, I know its hard to critique a puppy, but still wanted to hear what others thought of him. Again, sorry for any confusion, I apologize.

aaykay, His temperament is wonderful! No issues. He is a very social puppy, confident, has great drives and solid nerves- nothing bothers him. He loves his protection work - nice full calm grips, his obedience and tracking are also coming along nicely. Overall, a great pup so far. Thanks for asking.

Hi Young Lady,

He is a lovely looking young dog...
Pls bear in mind that he was not bred for showing...
Asking online for critiques isn't recommended...

There are some nasty people out there and their critiques might dampen your spirits...

You mention that he is doing protection work, obedience and tracking. Basically telling me that you are training towards an IPO...
This is hard work and will require a lot of time and effort from your side...Keep doing this and enjoy your dog...

One day when you walk off the field with an IPO1 title, that will give you great satisfaction...
I'm not even talking about IPO2 OR 3 only 1. This is where it all starts.

This seperates the "men from the boys" so to say.
