So what do you think of my boy? Now that is the best natural stack I can get.
This same boy having alittle issue with.He has great focus heels nicely but when I stop he doesn't sit right away and most of the time I can't seem to get him to sit square.Azz end is set out away from me.Any suggestions? Maybe someone might put a video up and show me how to correct.
Thanks in advance
Steve

Very nice--I like him a lot. What they used to tell us in OB class was when you heeled your dog do it against (close to) a wall or fence so when you stop there is no way for them to stop but straight. I think it worked OK as far as I can remember. As far as the auto sit what I used to do was just do a few steps at a time--this is assuming that they already know the sit word--and have them sit. You can use a treat for every good sit and if you are sure they know sit then correct them when they don't. Gradually increase your distance..............Hope that might help--remember I'm no trainer..................

Nice looking boy!

When heeling you probably are using food and have him push into your hand? If yes, have him take it from the left side of his mouth. Then you do the same as when you do left turns, you guide his head with your hand. Your hand goes slightly away from your body to the left, this will make him turn his head at least straight (or slightly to the left) and brings his butt in. Those movements are only with your hand and few inches, not an entire arm length (your elbow stays in place at your body).

Very handsome;  I used the wall method for healing straight and a straight sit;  you really can use a park bench, wall, whatever you have around you to insure y ou get a straight heel/sit/down or whatever you are doing.  Use it as a guide until they get it straight.  BOL  Nan  Make a big deal when he does it correct, hands on your hips and stare at him when he does it wrong,  probably don't have to say a word.  Make sure he is focusing on you.  Any anticipation ahead of you, change the command to sit like use the checz word for sit, not what that is or change to french or german.  Maybe he does not like the english version of sit??Teeth Smile

He is one good looking dog!! Love his pigment! and that face! ahhh so handsome.

i agree with the heeling next to a wall. it should get him to be nice and close to you. gradually move away from the wall and see if the behavior continues. if he starts bringing his rear out, then move back towards the wall. baby steps. also, with getting him to auto sit, give the command. if he does not sit right away, use a treat and lure it over his head with the command. there are many good videos out there to watch, some have different ways than other. find what works best for you and him. Good luck!!
