Luann and I went to Nashville last weekend to watch the 2012 USCA German Shepherd Dog National Championship. We went to support some friends that qualified in this elite group of @60 dogs including Kevin Nance and his GSD Vandal vom Mittelwest.
Attached you will find a video of Kevin & Vandal's protection work (not the best video....blame the cameraman!). You will note the high level of discipline and intelligence displayed. I was really impressed with his total performance... 89 protection: Nice work Kevin and Vandal. Congratulations!!!

I think he should have gotten a 92 but I guess we all see things differently. Cheryl also did well with a hiccup in tracking, with her showline bitch Chloe Bullinger. Chloe and Cheryl still beat 18 working line dogs!! Also keep in mind that Vandal is about 3/4 the same bloodline as Rocco Mittelwest! No coincidence there!! GREAT work guys!! We are all so proud! Keep it up!!

Hi, Debby,
Vandal isn't even high scoring protection in our house. Internal family "bragging rights" now goes to Cheryl and Chloe with their 92.
Now THAT hurts.
:)
