Hello All,
I am looking opinions on the below breeder/kennel and pedigree. I have never dealt with an overseas breeder and so it's all a little new. The breeder seems very nice and knowledgeable but being that she is all the way in
Germany, i have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm looking to get her pick of the litter. I am looking to compete in SCH/IPO at a regional/national level.
pedigree is
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/breeding.result?father=498096&mother=478673
Kennel is www.kennel-metunaj.de and her name is Isa
Thank you
Anthony

You could do far, far worse, my friend. The litter certainly has the lineage behind it to compete at the levels you mention--but it's hard work to take a dog from a puppy to podium, even if your luck holds and the pup matures with a fully sound body. With the help of really good, experienced trainers, and a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears on your part, you'd have as good a shot as any of realizing your aspirations.
And though I've never dealt with this breeder, nor do I know anyone directly who has, I've also not heard anything negative about this kennel, either--and around here, that is saying something, 'cause this is one of the places unhappy buyers come to shout their displeasures! I'm familiar with the kennel solely from seeing their dogs in trial results and in pedigrees of other working dogs.
Beautiful bitch, the dam of this litter, too. BTW, I updated her pedigree page on here-- she's got her SchH1, not just the BH. Also added her conformation rating. Hope this puppy is everything you could want and then some--and that you're up to the task, too!

Isa is a very nice and friendly person with a lot of knowledge, she is involved with GSD since her childhood, she was and is using in her breeding-programm also unknown dogs, mainpoints are the healthness and character in her programm. She had dealed in the past with some persons on this board here. Goodman Shepherds, Bill Kulla and Jennifer Acevedo, Pat Sinclair and some police departments. You will find her dogs in a lot of parts in the world. All of them are satisfied, so far i know. Maybe it helps to find the right decision. Check her dogs out on workingdogs.eu
