I have just taken possession of a beautiful bitch who has a few small bald patches close to her eyes, apparently caused by a tick problem in her breeders kennels. The problem has been resolved in the sense that her coat and skin is immaculately clean and tick free. I wonder however if there are any ointments etc out there to help speed up the hair regrowth process?

Virgin organic coconut oil, you just rub a little in a couple of times a day. You can also feed it to promote a beautiful coat, a teaspoon or so a day.

I can highly recommend it, it is the only thing I have ever found that managed to get hair to regrow on my old girl's elbow calluses.

I dont know about the the problem you have  but after reading the thread about coconut oil I started giving it to my dog a couple weeks ago and the shedding has almost stopped.  As far as silky and shine I dodnt thionk her coat could get any better but even that has improved.  I give her two teaspoons a day.  One in the morning and one at night with no issues
