Has anyone on here used these guys for buying dog supplies? I know one in the past on here has because a question on bite sleeves (they had a good experience with the company), but I ordered from them four days ago.....About $200 worth/3-5 day shipping.  From what I had read it should take 24 hours before they ship it out.  They will not in any way respond to any attempt to contact them.  I just wanted to check the status of my order.  So I did a little google search and found tons of bad reviews on them of course. Most all dealt with shipping (taking a few weeks to even ship out the items, never answering calls or emails, one even contacted them because their order wasn't shipped out only to find that they haven't shipped it due to the collar (on a multiple item order) no longer being an item they carry.....I mean really?  So my guess is that my 3-5 shipping day will become a 3 week shipping, and they probably haven't even thought about shipping it yet. I thought I read something about them actually being in Israel? Even though the site says they are in the US? If any have dealt with them before do you think if they haven't shipped it out yet they'd refund the money? I used paypal.   I just thought it was ridiculous to have no communication back to me over the past few days though I've attempted to contact them each day. They don't receive calls on weekends according to their sites/times, but they do at certain times during week days.

I have ordered from ForDogTrainers ONE time and ONE time only.. they have horrible customer service and the shipping is a NIGHTMARE! Do some searching on this site, I am not the only one that has had problems with them.

Remember paypal has the 30 day guarantee or something like that. if you dont get your order, then contact paypal and file a dispute.

Thanks Bhaugh, I didn't know that. I pay with paypal on everything I buy online typically if it allows for it. I've been buying different books lately on ebay I wanted to read, and I used it on "fordogtrainers" to get the training supplies as well.  Jyl, I'll do a search and see. I just wish I had done so beforehand.

I hope you didn't order a sleeve from them.

Slamdunc I ordered a leash, a bigger fur saver, a leather collar, and I did order a "sleeve" suggested to me by a member on this forum who was more than happy with it.  They ordered theirs from them and were more than happy with the quality.  Here it is.

I've bought a few things...including a sleeve. Quality seems OK but the prices will not match what is adverised. I don't think they are in the US.

I have ordered from them a few times.  The first couple went fine but after the last experience I will not order from them again.

I hope your order comes through without any hassles. Chasing after vendors is such a pain.

I'll just add that I use K9 Dynamics in Ontario. I think they have the best customer service of ANY business that I've dealt with (and I've worked with hundreds of vendors in my professional life). Shipping is extremely fast and they respond to questions immediately. They are also very knowledgeable about their products and have brought in an item that they don't normally sell at my request. I'm sure that you can find some website somewhere that sells things cheaper but I just don't want the hassle of chasing after a vendor to get my items or refund my money. For the Canadians out there - they carry a huge selection of Herm Sprenger collars (fur savers and prong).

GSDguy,
If you are just using that sleeve for your own dog it should be ok for the price.  For $49 if it lasts a little while then toss it out, it might be ok for you and your young dog.  I prefer to order higher quality equipment and spend a little more.  I like equipment that will last for years and I work quite a few dogs with it.  I have Schweikert and Frabo sleeves that I bought in the mid 90's that I still use every week.  I'm sure some of their equipment is a good value when it comes to leashes and collars.  I just never skimp on equipment for bite work or leashes and collars.  I'd rather pay more and get high quality items, I find it saves me money in the long run.
