A spray can of washable hair dye and some stencils would be really, really cool! Think halloween supplies, and then take a pix for us, LOL
Why can't people pet the pup if you approve, though? Pups like people! People like pups!

lol beetree how about I just dye his entire body purple and spray paint words on him? I'm doing this for Auggie for the people who "insist" that all dogs love them and that they HAVE to pet my dog. I don't want everyone petting my dog. Some people he likes being pet by, some people he doesn't. No issue being around them, he just doesn't like to be pet by everyone, he will shrug his head away from certain ones. I see nothing wrong with that. I mean would you want everyone petting your head? lol Not to mention that's literally how it is.....almost everyone comes up wanting to pet, and it gets so old sometimes. I love talking to people, but when they all want to pet.... I don't know where you live, but here people seem like they aren't use to seeing a dog in public lol, so everyone will come up to you often times.

Why do you need a 'do not pet' harness? Because people are such IDIOTS!
Everyone who has been out in public with a service dog will have horror stories to tell of total strangers throwing their arms around their dog's neck, yelling at it, etc. etc. Parents either snatch their kids away in horror, or let them follow after the dog, trying to pet it and otherwise interfering with it as it tries to do its job.
Service dogs, especially those that work for the blind, need to focus on their handler, and not be distracted by people trying to pet them.

LOL, I just got myself a blue bicolor pup! The few times in public it was impossible for me to NOT talk to people who want to pet my pup! Talk about answering the question, "What kind of dog is that?" LOL .... Just ask Steph, she was there!
I didn't know you were going to train Augie as a service dog.

Oh beetree no no lol, not as a service dog. Sorry for the confusion. I'm going to use a harness like this for what was mentioned, but also so I can do training in public (and not just in the back yard) and not have people constantly coming up trying to pet him. It's amazing even when I'm doing obedience training, the people that will come up and try to pet him....without asking. You have some who do the "oh can I pet him" as they already start petting him. I figure if I want people to pet him, I'll pick a place and time when we aren't training, leave the harness at home....and yeah.
