OK- why is it that each time one snaps a pic of their male GSD, the *athletic equipment* has to poke out in all its glory, necessitating a photoshopping episode???? WHY???? Anyone have any idea???  Casey James does it all the time, as did Joss, when he was alive. Why cant they just sit, pose, and smile like the girls? Is it just my two that did/do this???? aaaargh! I suck at photoshopping.

No its not just your two. Most males that I have seen do it when they sit at attention.

Not to be to crude but my male when there is a situation that he is interested in it is a totally different thing vs when it just is there because he is sitting there. I think from simply the way they are made it just happens when they sit that way. There is a running joke around the house here especially with my youngest child (3 yrs old) when he tells me something is up with Kaiser.. I just explain "ummm...  yeah that dog is crazy .. hey look the Disney channel... " ;)

On a side note both of mine are perverts. That may have something to do with it.. I don't know.

One of the many reasons I love coated dogs. It's out there but mostly you can't see it LOL My coated boy has a dense fringe surrounding his 'athletic equipment' - it's rather magnificent !

If you don't want to photoshop it then set their front leg in the way, works good!;))
I'm always photo shopping in that department!

OR> snap the picture quickly before they get all relaxed!

I think it's the rule for picture taking male dogs. You get that great pic, and there it is...

Who cares?

Caleb never did it but I've bred pups who did. I never really thought it was a big issue. It's a dog.

It is what it is. I've heard it called his "lipstick" or his rocket. One of the reasons I prefer females with their heat and all. It's a guy thing. LOL

OK- well at least it isnt just mine that do it. LOL! Definitely a guy thing... My grandkids live in another state, and they wanted pics of CJ. I sent the pics and the 6 yr old wrote back - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew- whats that?????? LOL! Air brushing is definitely needed in pics going to them...

Male dogs just do this, even puppies. He likes you, he likes attention, you have a camera pointed at him, it just happens. Use his front leg to block the sight or use Photoshop to hide the "red rocket".
