Is it true that the Germans are going to get rid of the coat classes and put them into the stock coat classes, just as if they were not coats?  Anyone know if this is true?  And if so when will it happen in Germany?  And if it does happen in Germany, when will we change our classes?

Bet the change is not so much the love of the coats, but the love of zee money!!!!!

They were fools in that they cut off pedigree lines and there are so few different lines into which to breed and keep the dogs healthy.

That what I hear although I have not seen official verification.
I believe the reasoning is because the coat classes have been so small it seems a total waste to have their own class and their own judge where the BSZS is concerned. It is a money and time saving element, in my opinion. They will not make any more money as the long coats already had their own classes. In fact I would be the long coat entries will decrease if they do this.
I personally don't like to see this, as so many judges, and people in general, still don't care for the long coats, so they will not be judged fairly in the stock coat classes. Again, just my opinion.
As far as the US following suit.... absolutely they will and it's usually almost immediately !
