Yes, I have a boy that throws his whole bed around the room when the fit takes him, and a girl that throws balls and toys at me when she wants to play.

She has also always had this weird habit of putting her ball 'into' things, buckets, shopping bags, boxes, flowerpots, my laundry bag with my clean washing in waiting to go on the line.........anything she can put it 'inside' and then chomping it and smooshing it with her feet once it's in there. It always makes me laugh. She has done it her whole life.

Abby Normal, too funny about "smooshing it with her feet". I can just see it. I think our young pup would love to throw his bed around but I stop him the minute I see him mouthing it. He's pretty wild and crazy at this point but what a sweetheart.

What is it with GSDs and cramming toys in their mouths?  None of the other dogs I've had have ever done this, but the GSD does.  I'm pretty sure she has hoarding issues.

My dogs don't necessarily throw things at me, but the GSD shakes her head back and forth, releases and sends the kong flying and then pounces on it, in an attempt to get our attention.  She found a new way to entertain herself last night since it was raining all day....she wanted to play, but refuses to go out in the rain.  When we came in from a potty break, I used their towel to wipe their feet.  She thinks it's great fun if I toss the towel over her head, she shakes it off and pounces on it.  Yesterday, she took off with it and got the Lab to chase her and thus began the game of tug-o-war throughout the house.  They have tug toys, but apparently the towel was much more fun yesterday.  She's already eyeballing it again today :)

Too funny jra, It's been raining here (finally!!) When I dry the dogs, I let them into the garage and I dry the pup off first which is not too bad really. He is very tractable and will pretty much hold still for drying off. Then I put him in the house so he doesn't see Echo's antics with the towel. I don't want him to pick up her bad habits. She always dives into the towel and rubs her face and head and growls a low growl the whole time. She hates to have her front feet dried...not sure why. She will carry on and complain outloud while I get the mud from between her toes, acting like she will bite but she knows better. The hind feet are not such an issue and she loves it when I rub her all over with the towel. When she is pretty sure I'm done with drying her she starts biting at the towel in a manner as not to put holes in it. I pull back and she pulls around in a circle growling the whole time as if she is going to tear it up. I let her do this, it's become a ritual for us on rainy days. When I'm ready to go inside I'll say "that's enough" and she immediately lets go and heads for the door. She doesn't carry more than one item in her mouth but I've seen videos of labradors carrying from 2 - 5 at once. The retreivers tend to be fond of lots of ball at one time.
