Has any body used this product? Is it any good and safe? A friend of mine got layed off and can not afford the fronline/advantage treatments right now. I have been reading mixed reviews o Sergeant' squeeze on. DE is too messy with 5 dogs and a cat..........thanks in advance!

You may be able to buy single doses of a quality flea/tick product from your vet.  They don't require an office vist or prescription (since you can buy it over the counter).  If buying a whole 6 pack is not affordable, maybe purchasing single doses at around $12 ea would be more affordable.

You might as well throw your money out the window if you buy that crap. That and Hartz, I really don't know how they stay in business.

Bio-Spot is relatively inexpensive. I've used it on many dogs for many years (except dams with puppies) and never saw a flea or a tick on any of my dogs.

Me too Blitzen. I buy mine at Amazon when I need it. I would be very careful about buying it on EBay as I was looking on there checking prices and I saw some I knew hadn't been sold in a long time, therefore I knew it was out of date.

some of the cheap brands of flea and tick control have been implicated in cases of sudden onset epilepsy and uncontrolled siezures.  i would not risk it.  i have heard of dogs dying from this.

Vonissk... most flea/tick control products do not have expiration dates (unless they include heartworm medication... in which case you would have to get it from the vet anyway).  They "suggest" a shelf life of 5 years in controlled environment.

Frontline or Advantix is cheap through Costco and many farm stores. I don't use the stuff, but I've seen it at much less than the vets charge for it.
