He is healthy and young Pomeranian(1 yr), but he either diarrhea or vomits up most everything he eats. I have changes dog foods many times, which I really don't want to do anymore, I know that is not good for him either. Also I have tried making him food, like eggs/ham/rice...and that seemed to agree with him a little more, but not great. I just need a great healthy preferably softer dry dog food that is good for him! thanks!

What foods have you tried? What does you vet say about it? Giving a micro encapsulated probiotic is worth a try and also digestive enzymes (such as Prozyme) may help.

I would give the natures variety a try. It is a frozen raw complete diet.

I use nature's variety raw instinct when I am lazy or travelling, and it is a good quality food and the dogs LOVE it.

It won't cost much for such a little thing, you can buy the nuggets.
A friend of mine with a Yorkie uses it and it solved some of his issues. It is easy to defrost the nuggets in a container on the top shelf of the refrigerator.
Good luck,
Michele, Pharaoh & Mariah

Have you taken this dog to the vet? Besides the normal parasite/protozoan infections, I would have him checked for SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth) with a cobalamin/folate test. If positive you need to give him probiotics to re-balance his intestinal flora. This is espeically common in dogs that have had courses of antibiotics, or dogs with pancreatic insufficiency. Left unchecked, a bacterial imbalance can develop into more long term issues like IBD and food intolerances. In the meantime, since this seems to have been going on for some time, I would feed a simple bland diet...a single protein and single carbohydrate...and work with your vet and/or a canine nutritionist to develop a dietary plan. You may be asked to create a list of foods that he has been exposed to in the past. Many times raw diets can be helpful because they retain the natural enzymes that processed kibble does not. A digestive enzyme supplement, such as Totalzymes, may also be helpful.
Good luck with your little guy.

Aside from the great information other have given you... My male GSD was difficult to find something good for him to get used to.
If you have a costco store close to you I've had excellent results from this food and the same to others I have recomended it to.
It's made by Diamond Foods. The name is Nature's domain. It has a good recomendation on the AAFCO site as well.
