Well, as some of you know, I'm in the process of getting Beau's OFA's taken care of. So far, he has had his OFA DM and OFA Dentition Database done. :)

BUT, I am curious, when I filled out his OFA applications, I only listed Beau's AKC number, not his UKC number.

Here's my question, as Beau is dual registered with both the AKC and UKC, and I would like for his OFA clearances (hips and elbows at least) to show up on BOTH registries on pedigrees if I decide to breed him, how do I go about making sure the OFA clearances show up on BOTH registries? Do I send UKC photocopies of his OFA certificates? Do I call OFA and tell them to include his UKC number to his clearances? How do I go about this?

I suppose it isn't life or death if they don't show on his UKC pedigree if he sires pups, BUT, if people search his UKC number on OFA's website they wouldn't find any clearance information. If they searched his name incorrectly they wouldn't see clearance information either, and without seeing original copies of OFA paper work, how would people who don't buy directly from me know that he actually had them done and that I hadn't forged paperwork?

Perhaps I'm being anal, but should any puppies he ever produces ever produce puppies, I don't want it looking like he didn't have clearances done on the UKC pedigrees, ya know?

use for AKC and once you get your certificate, send it to UKC with a copy of the AKC and UKC papers, one would think this would work.

All of my dogs are also dual registered and even tho I have sent the OFA results to them, they have never put it on the pedigree/papers and I have never known of them to do it with any of my friends' dogs either. I don't know why but I wish they would also.
