Anyone going?

Just learned that my hubby and I will be in the area during the event and I may get to go.....I'M SO EXCITED!!! :)
I've never been to a dog competition of this caliber before and was wondering if anyone could give me a few suggestions or recommendations for the best day's to go. Also, not sure how the event's structured. Do they run the OB and Protection simultaneously or consecutively? Does anyone know the schedule of go for each team? Or the list of dog and handler teams for each country? I'm sure I'm forgetting some important questions to ask so please let me know. I really appreciate any suggestions or advice you guys can give me.

Holy cow......I'm so freaking excited .

Thanks,
Cheri

Ski....Thank you...Are you going?

Is no one going from here? Has no one been? I checked the UScA website and it wasn't entirely clear to me who is representing the USA.
Is this our team?

Sean O'Kane and Max ze Stribrneho Kamene
Tommy Gillies and Figo vom Fuchsgraben
Clement Dang and Fox Van't Enclavehof
Rhonda Southern and  Bac von der Siebengebirgsperle
Sigrid Riess-Mundry and Ayro vom Vogelbergblick
Mike Deihl (Alternate) Irmus Galan Nalag

My apologies for any miss spellings of names.

Looks right. I believe it is here in the U.S. next year or soon. Don't remember. It was just here and I'm sure everyone on here went.

WOW.....I did not know that.....Thanks Chaz.
According to the GSDCA it is to be held in Philadelphia, PA on October 14-20, 2013. How cool is that.....guess I better start planning my trip if I want to get a good Hotel and Flight :)

They normally run the event with an hour of Obedience followed by and hour or Protection and it rotates from around 0700 until 1830hrs each day.
There will be plenty of food and rink there, as well a Concession Stands although the area where the competitors park their vehicles is secure so you won't be able to wonder about here.
Just remember the best dog from a country from say for example Brazil will not be on a par with the best dogs from Germany, Belgium etc. So the standard can vary.

There's a really good atmosphere and plently of support for all competitors, carry cash if you intend to go shopping at the consession stands, its just easier.
Be careful that once the DRAW is done your favourite dogs could be on a first thing in the morning!

I've been twice, and in a couple of weeks my wife is taking me to the BSP in Germany for my Birthday. They are great events so enjoy.
