I got my girl Akyra from a rescue 2 years ago.  I had been told she was GSD but have been wondering lately if she might not be Belgian Malinois based on photos and descriptions I've seen lately.  She is high energy, lightning quick, very smart, and loves to play.  I should state that I am not worried about her breed for reasons other than having the knowledge, and it would not surprise me if she was a mixed breed.  I've attached a URL with recent photos of her and one when she was about 9 weeks old and 2 of her mother who was also at the rescue.  Thanks in advance for the replies!

Your Akyra is a beautiful girl!
Her mother is a German Shepherd, her father...?!?
No Malinois in her.
A true child of love!

Who knows who or what the sire was.... However, the ears are nicely erect, which tends to suggest Dad wasn't a bloodhound ! The straight shoulder construction could suggest Malinois however more likely to me is the possibility that this nice dog came from a ByB and may well be GSD albeit not the 'best' on paper . She looks happy and loves, which is what matters.

She is indeed a well loved dog.  I appreciate all your responses; it helps to satisfy my curiousity. And as I like to say, my favorite breed is rescued :)

Akyra is stunning !! I would wager husky, which crosses well with GSD and most any breed. Seems they improve structure, brains, and temperament. The best, most versatile dog I ever owned was a rescued Husky/Australian Shepherd.

Its is not a mal But maybe a mix of either husky and gsd or the white german shepherds mix with a gsd
