that has a stable, balanced disposition; is located in America or Canada; is V rated; does not have even a hint of roach in back; has legs set on corners and not set back under chest (huge pet peeve);  and has OFA Clearances for hips, elbows, thyroid, cardiac, and DM. Is he out there??? Small size and a shorter coat (versus plush) are acceptable.

Thanks,

Sara

FWIW, I like what I see of this dog.  You'd have to ask the owner if the OFA certs you mention have been done since his arrival.  More info on him here.

Also find this dog interesting. Young dog, presently only SG rated (but I bet he'd V with more maturity on him); don't see anything as far as offspring as yet, but the pedigree intrigues me.  Located in Tennessee.

Wow, VERY nice males Hexe.....I've admired the 2nd kennels' dogs from afar.....& I must say that my male has a very similar pedigree to the first, & while I bust on him occasionally, he has matured to a very handsome, clear-headed, super stable male with very nice drives. Good choices! jackie harris

Jackie, I've long admired the dogs that came out of the Arolser Holz kennel...the breeder knew his stuff and when you study what the kennel produced over the years, you find a very uniform (and correct ) structure coupled with excellent working ability.  Your Beckett, with two Arolser Holz parents, no doubt has matured into yet another Arolser Holz-type male. :)

Sadly, the gentleman who was the heart and soul of this kennel, Horst Sitzmann, passed away unexpectedly this past April.  I truly hope the lineage he developed is not squandered in the hands of others and eventually lost in any real form.

I look forward to seeing how the second dog is used, and what he produces.  It appears that he's now at a kennel that had been focusing on the showlines, but recently started to bring in some working line dogs, too, and if the present owner makes the most of this Alasko and what's behind him, we could start seeing some correctly structured, versatile, work-oriented dogs coming out of Tennessee in the coming years.  Too bad breeders in the US have a history of under-utilizing high-quality males that are in the US either temporarily or permanently...though it does appear that there's been a great deal of improvement in that respect in recent years as the economic situation welled up here.

I own Orex and he is such an awesome male.  Couldn't ask for a better temperament.  He is DM Clear
