I am pretty new to all this and am looking for some help and information. Can someone tell me how I go about getting an SV with 2 year x-rays? I just did OFA and am not happy with the results, now my x-rays are 2 year and I wanted to see if I could get another opinion. I wanted to have both anyway-didn't realize until recently that SV wants 1 year x-rays? is that right?
Anyway if someone could put here the steps required for SV and costs I would appreciate it very much.

Here's a link for the WDA instructions as well as cost http://www.gsdca-wda.org/forms/SUBMISSION_OF_RADIOGRAPHS_GUIDELINE_041710.pdf

You will have to become a member if you're not already.

I doesn't matter what year the x-rays are done, there is just a minimum age.  They don't HAVE to be done at that age.  You do a-stamps either through the WDA office or the USCA office.  I did mine through USCA.  It took about 2.5 months.  I just asked the vet for analog x-rays positioned for OFA and also signed letterhead with all the dog's information (since my vet cannot fit all the required info exposed on the x-ray itself).  Both clubs have web pages with instructions and forms.

I have done all of mine through USCA.  Here is their link about what needs to be done.  http://www.germanshepherddog.com/breed/a_stamp_program.htm

So do they have to be SV registered, or do they accept/recognize an AKC registered dog?

AKC registered is fine. The AKC is our official breed registery. It's all that matters in the eyes of the SV.

I have done "A" stamp through UScA 3 times. Happy with the results so far....though it does take a while for your results.
