trixx, are you serious. you are in one of the best areas of the U.S. for s/l studs. How about Rocco or Camillo. You can drop down to the lower end of Il. and you have Charlie Starr's dogs. Is this a joke.

trixx, if you are really not capable of choosing the best dog to promote your goals, then why do you ask.

In all fairness, Rik, new dogs are coming in all the time- and with NASS around the corner, I'm sure there will be more. Several years back I asked on here and discovered a young male who was top ring in the BSZS was staying in the area temporarily with a breeder I knew, just for his koerung, I think. Incidentally, he was EXACTLY what I was looking for. His owner is a small, in-home breeder and I would not have known this dog was here otherwise. I actually kept a bitch from that litter who I just love.
I am in Trixx's general area as well. Just because there are many good dogs doesn't mean the exact right dog is easy to find, either. Nothing wrong with being picky and going in with every drop of information you can find. I have a dog in mind for my next breeding that I really like, but I've learned to keep a second dog in mind as well (you never know when an emergency can pop up, even stud owners have real lives!) and I'm actually having a hard time finding one that fits what I'm looking for.
Not everyone chooses their studs from the top of the Sieger Show working class. There are many excellent, titled, lesser known dogs all over, but sometimes we have to go digging for them a bit.

Landheim has several really nice males. Charlie isn't all that far and neither is Philip Eramo in Toronto. Philip has Xbox and Negus and Xppo is with Charlie I believe. All of those males are proven producers and that's something that should be a major factor in your decision.

I know of an excellent male near Elkhart, IN. He's one of the highest placing males from the sieger show in the US. Is that close enough for you?
