I just picked up my SchH trailer from Jones and am having difficulty finding a company willing to underwrite insurance for it. Progressive, Amica and State Farm all say "too much risk" because of the dogs. Any ideas? Appreciate the help....Karen

Try Kemper? I suggest also to get your insurance bundled... that is very appealing to them... they insured my house & cars knowing I have a GSD.

Also look into the insurance companies that cater to the farming and ranching industries; Farm Bureau or the like. These are the same ones that insure horse trailers.

I'm surprised state farm won't write a policy. Did you get an answer about a specific written policy from the agent? If not, call another state farm agent and see what the actual rule is. Did you try Farmers? Are you eligable for USAA insurance? I wouldn't go with Progressive, Amica or any of the others because even though they may insure the trailer, they will give you trouble for owning German Shepherds.
