What do you think?

Now that Bravo has his BH, we're on to IPO1........

Tracking is going very well, I've learned how to lay track, what to do while holding the line.    He will go quite a distance in between treats, putting his nose into each footstep, and will do baited turns very nicely. Got my first lesson on how to train atricles....... I'm going to like tracking!

His BH obedience if fine. We've started working on retrieve on the flat, we're just beginning.... but I'm going to need a jump and a wall in the back yard to teach him what too do....before a real retrieve....

Does anyone else have any other suggestions on how to build them?

The instructions, as well as the measurements are on on the plans - they are regulation - why would you need another plan design....... they are simple to build.......

these plans seem so complicated, i was hoping for find one that's a bit easer...

also i haven't found a plan for a jump.

What is complicated about those plans?  They're really very straight forward.

You have two side framed together so you can hinge them at various heights for training, with a top height that reaches regulation.  You have a total of six grabs, three on each side, measure from the top of the apex down the frame.

The meter jump is actually harder to build to spec.  You need 39.4 inches in height with slats that can be pulled out for training purposes, and 59 inches wide.

SitaMom - if you look at DVG website the dimensions for both a frame the the jump are on there - free of chg - the USA rule book has the dimensions on both as well...USA book isnt free.....If you are training for IPO - I think you need tp review the rule book so your dog might pass... then you would be aware of how to build a proper frame and jump....

i did look at the dvg and usa and wda sites, same dimensions.. thank you for the suggestion.

i was looking for jump and wall plans that don't require me to purchase so many new tools.
i have drill, skillsaw, hammers, but not the others. is there a different way to attach the bars at the top of the wall?

What special tool is required to screw the cleats into the main frame of the A-wall?

YOu can take the dimensions of each piece of wood - as well as carpet dimensions to lowes or home depot they will cut it for you - no saw required...........I cant imagine what tools you think you need to put this assembly together.

Why not have modern wall made such as the one below. No wood, all modern materials that will last a long time + very lightweight.
