kitkat, that's what I am trying to avoid.  Don't want to register him now as bicolor and then he
changes, so I guess I'll just what a little longer.  Or I can register him as blk/tan since bicolor
is just a pattern anyway.

Thanks to all who replied.  I do have one other question regarding bicolor as I've heard different answers.  Are bicolor suppose to be primarily black with red/tan at legs only or is it
ok for them to have tan on the cheeks?

He has no eyebrow color, no color behind his ears but does have tan patches on cheeks.

Bicolor:
10 weeks

4 yrs

NOT BICOLOR

These 2 dogs are actually littermates.

You can see a bunch of pics of my recent litter here: https://picasaweb.google.com/100619446956993754435/SLitter
The bicolor male pictured above is the sire. The dam is this black/red female:

Beautiful, beautiful dogs. That's the way I like to see pups Christine, happy ,healthy and having fun. All pups should be so lucky. That little Sioux is a looker!

KitKat:
Cuzko is my partners male , in Galveston, who I got into this years ago , sold her two of mine, my ofa excellent COLA  and Dax who are gone on , and she bought the ISKA v Kapbusch girl Myah and Now the Germelhaus boy...Cuzko who is BI..
Many years ago I bred Rosie, my other OFA excell , to Bastin v Korpeltal  son and he was a BI...WE thought for 1 week we got a Bi, but after two weeks every pup was blk/rd.. She was disappointed as it was for her., we did the breeding..

It is so disappointing to want a BI , get one and at 13 months you wake up and the tar marks start disappearing month by month...

Cuzko still has all his tar marks so we hope..He is a Dave Kroyers , training as owner;s hubby is in Austin Hospital with heart problems so Myah and Cuzko get special training while Dave boards the two..

I love those that take pride in their dogs, and Christine does have some beautiful dogs. And to you YR, I appreciate the advice you so freely give, anyone that asks.

Thanks for the kind words. :)

To be fair, I got lucky with Xita--she's the product of someone else's 40+ year breeding program.

If he has any tan at all behind the ears he is not a Bi-color the picture appears he is but i would hold off a few months to register in case something changes
