V Caro van Brandevoort KNPV PH1 & PH2, Kkl 1, UV has been selected for the PH2 KNPV Nationals this year
Edo van Brandevoort KNPV PH1 had max points (440) has been selected for the PH1 KNPV Nationals this year
Nice to see two GSD's at the 2012 KNPV Nationals, and I wish them both all the luck on the day...and a big well done to the Venray Club !! Great team work to get these two dogs into the Nationals. Caro has been producing some amazing litters and competes very well against top Malinois and Duchies....well done to both Tom and Rick and the Brandevoort Kennels
Another dog to look out for in the near future is a dog named Gandalf van Brandevoort, he is in training and is the son of my bitch Bartje van Brandevoort KNPV PH1 and V Lubeck von der Mahler-Meister KNPV PH1 , Kkl1 ( top KNPV dogs in two generations).
Bartje's second litter was with Caro van Brandevoort and I might be doing a repeat mating this year, or even sell her preganant with Caro or another top Stud suitable with her work ethics.

Would anybody be going to the KNPV Nationals this year?

by ronin on 22 July 2012 - 22:07
I'd love to go Mark but my other half is taking me to the BSP, may be next year. There's no way she'll put up with a 2nd dog trip!
Out of interest Mark, outside of your dogs being conditioned through their training what do you do for their day to day fitness.

Day to day fitness:
I always walk the dogs twice per day for at least 40-45 min each time. The best form of exercise which I try to do 2-3 times per week is Hydrotherapy. No stress on the joints, weight free exercise, and the strength and conditioning is very noticeable.
Either that are lots of walks to the beach and swimming in the sea, either way to me its the best form of exercise.
BSP should be a good trip....shame you cant make the KNPV Nationals
Take care

A good friend of mine has a top quality female that I rate very highly, she produces amazing high end pups that are doing extreamly well in Sport and Police. She is in season very soon and she should be mating Caro:
Litter pedigree : http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/para.utkoma?fadir=554287&modir=580072
But with all the Brandevoort GSD's they are something different about them, ref their overall character and work ethic. Almost like a GSD 60 years ago, very serious but not like the prey driven modern type of today. (not saying its bad, but just saying its different)
I really rate the dogs mentioned, and thanks to Frank Stommels who foundation comes from Ouchie and Gypsy from the Schiffslache Kennels. Both awesome, very hard females that has produced some amazing KNPV dogs and started this amazing acheivement. But obviously both brother Rick and Tom Verbruggen
Edo: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=741412
Caro: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=554287
Gandalf : http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=721481
Just by looking at the pedigree from these three dogs and whats behind them, you mention some top dogs that would be in most peoples top 10.
Jucan von Peroh
Yoschy von Dollenweise
Tyson von der Schiffslache
Nick von Heiligenbosch
Sirk von haus Sevens
Inox von haus Ming
Lubeck von der Mahler Meister
Ibor von Blitse Dune
Iwan v't Heukske
Quint & Dargo ven het Wezenland
Top Karthago lines
and of course the most important part, all the bitches they mated with.

Mark,
You may have some knowledge on this so here goes..What is the story on the Haus Ming Kennel?
It just seems strange to see a website in Chinese out of the Netherlands so I was wondering who runs it and do they compete in the
KNPV.
Really just curious, they certainly have bred some nice dogs in Inox etc.
Have you visited or met them?
Talked to breeder that had bred to Caro and like you was very happy with her pups.
He certainly is a impressive male.
