Can't make out tattoo in ear - Page 1

Hi, my GSD has a tattoo in her ear, but it's pretty faded looking and her hair makes it even harder to read. Is their any tips on making it more visible or could I possibly have a veterinarian look at it? She is Schutzund trained and I am told she is import from Germany.

Thanks. Is it possible to obtain a papers for your dog by having a DNA test done and receiving a pedigree? I'm having such a hard time trying to get my GSD's paperwork, since her previous owner never mailed them to me.

To read an ear tattoo, get a little Surgical Spirit on a cotton swab and clean all over the skin where the numbers are.
If you still can't see it properly, then gently shave the hairs out of the ear.

This Jennifer Hanes person is who I purchased the dog from. Seems like I'm not the only one having trouble recieving papers. I'm a bit confused by this.

who bred the dog?]
