Question regarding papers/pedigree - Page 1

I purchased a female 2 year old German Shepherd a little over a year and a half ago. She is Schutzund trained and commanded in Germany. Her previous owner trains dogs for military/police work, and informed me she was imported. She also said she was registered, but I wasn't concerned too much about getting her paperwork at that moment. Well, now I want to have something on her, but I accidently lost her previous owner's phone number. :/ She is tattooed in her ear. Is there anyway a vet could locate her papers by her ear tattoo? If not, is there any way to do so?

You Say you lost the previous owners phone number, what was the lady's name that would help, do you rember the Name of the dog, also what part of the country did you get the dog from?

I purchased the dog as an adult, at 2 years old from a lady named Jenn Hanes. Actually, I just found a thread on this forum about someone also buying a dog from her and not receiving papers! What is the deal?
