The lowest amount than can be donated is $10, but if we all donated just that little amount, think what we could do. I have started the ball rolling and donated my $10 today, as I really do want Dr Clemmons to be able to continue his research as well as the current research being done elsewhere.
Thank you for contacting us in regards to making a donation to Dr. Clemmons’ research. Unfortunately we do not use PayPal as a way to make donations to his research. However you can still make a donation online by clicking here and noting “Dr. Clemmons’DM Research” in the “comments” section of the page.
I am happy to help with any questions you have.
Thank you,

It struck me then. Who do we all turn to when we actually HAVE a DM dog? When we are desperate and need help? He is still the only person I know to offer anything to attempt to slow the progression of this disease, to 'treat' it if you will, in addition to his research. When you actually have a dog struggling with DM that is more valuable than anything money could ever buy, so it's worth a few dollars of anyone's money IMO. There but for the grace of God....

Thank you so much Abby! You are the best :)! If everyone on this board donates ten dollars, imagine how that could help Dr. Clemmons DM research! This a disease that runs throughout the breed, whether German SL, east and west German WL, Czech WL, AM SL and Canadian SL. What an impact it would make on the GSD breed if the DM gene could be 100% accurately identified. It would hopefully lead to precise DM DNA testing and could also further Dr. Clemmons research regarding DM treatment.
I have a dog with DM and I can assure you that you do not want to deal with this horrific heartbreaking illness. To see a perfectly healthy, bright and vibrant animal be slowly destroyed from the hind end forward is pure torture to watch. We owe it to our dogs to fight this and prevent further heartache and loss.
To anyone who truly loves the GSD breed, Dr. Clemmons research should be worth donating to because it could really make a difference in our very special and beloved breed.

If anything comes from this, it will be from those who love the breed itself, we can but hope.
