Stop supporting breeders who breed crap dogs.

Post your list here about how we identify bad breeders...feel free to include links the their websites.

Would be much less work to list the good ones.

It would do more good for your cause to list the good breeders rather than the bad ones.

Make a list of what you think is a good breeder.

Then  others who have experience with  breeders that match your list can tell about them.

Just because you make a list of what you call bad breeders does not really stop them or take money away from them.

Sending  buyers to a good breeder will and help a good breeder.

Should you wish to post about a bad breeder please read the TOS rules 5, 6, and 8,  first before you post just for a start.

Anyone breeding dogs without pedigrees.
Anyone who doesn't health test their dogs.
Anyone who doesn't prove their dogs' working abilities prior to breeding.
Anyone who doesn't know what lines they're breeding.
Anyone who brags about breeding dogs as family pets, and nothing more.
Anyone breeding oversize GSDs (most claim them to be 'old fashioned.')
Anyone who doesn't offer any type of sales contract/health guarantee.

I suppose that's a good start.

There are 2 in my vicinity that I have seen pups from on more than one occasion. It is pretty sad that people paid good money for these dogs. One of my clients (boarding) has been through so many health issues already and the dog is only 18mos old :(. I actually keep a bookmark folder of all the "FAIL" breeders I find, but these are the only 2 I have actually seen pups from.

BoCRon, OMG...My mind is REELING.  HOW can the AKC defend registering some of these animals as purebred German Shepherd Dogs????

'Disgust' is too mild a term for what I'm feeling right now.

Totally disagree with this one.  Some of the best breeders out there don't make you sign a contract  nor offer a health guarantee.
Both can be useless as seen by many examples on this board.
I prefer breeders that sell their pups at a reasonable cost ( as pups are pretty much a crap shoot anyway), and buyer takes the chance.

I have to go with RS on this, at least for experienced people.  No contract or guarantee was ever discussed between Axel's breeder and myself.  I researched and approved of the breeding and took my chances.
