Because people will pay for it. The trend right now, as we all know, is flashy black and red show dogs that "pop" in pictures on the internet. Mix in some buyers who have cash, but no experience or knowledge with the breed itself or even the knowledge to ask the right questions, and what do you have? It's so easy to buy dogs and puppies over the internet now. Back in the day, you had to rely on word of mouth or go to see the dogs in person, which is what the knowledgable and experienced breeders and trainers these days always recommend anyway. "Breeders" are not required to have any sort of knowledge or credentials. It's a huge red flag when potential buyers who do indeed have some knowledge, start asking questions and are responded to rudely or ignored. This tells me that the breeder either doesn't know or doesn't want to answer. These are the people that have no knowledge of the true character of the breed. They can't "see" it. They don't truly know what "nerviness" even means. They cannot or will not impartially look to see strengths and weaknesses in a dog and actually try to improve. All they see is RED- DARK mask- rich color and pigment..
It sickens me honestly.
