Hi Guys!
Here's an update on Dana's litter, all pups are doing great & they are 5 days old!

Took this pic this morning!
Thanks for tuning in on the updates!!!

Below is a close up of the boy pup that had the cord way too short!
He's all better and completely healed!!

Way too cute for just one pic of him!!!!!

They are so cute, how scary about the last pup. That was good thinking getting him to the vet as quick as you did.
Always,
Cee

My vet came to our 4th of July party and got to see how the boy was doing,
she was  thrilled to see him thriving! He just mixes in with everyone, nothing
different about him at all, when I picked him up to take that picture, he was struggling in my hand
like a little devil, I had to wait till he finally gave up to get a nice calm shot, they all settle down nice,
I usually wait to see them relax before I set them back down, it somehow conditions them, like a training
exercise, I feel pups can be trained and conditioned right from birth, they are smarter than you may think!

It makes them have more confidence when you pick them up in the air and let their little bodies hang there, they
begin to trust you, they eventually get used to acting calm while they are in your hands, and it's a whole lot easier
to trim their nails when the time comes!

Wow, just caught up with the news on the little tough guy!  Whew!  You are lucky to have your Vet so close.  Good thing it all worked out and you didn't have a horrible lesson learned, just a dumb ass lesson.  We all have those I'm afraid.  Some not so lucky as yours.  Just chalk it up to experience.  I don't know that I wouldn't have pulled the same bonehead move since I haven't been around a whelping bitch in over 40 years.  Nice of you to share this so the rest of us can learn from your mistakes.  Thank you for that.

This isn't an "E" litter is it...you could call him Elmer, for Elmer's glue!  Really glad everything worked out and the pups are doing great.  Chunky monkeys!  And mama sure is pretty a pretty girl.

I agree on the handling of pups just like you are doing.  Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Hey DebiSue,

I finally picked my girls, I'm keeping 2, the darkest colored girl, and the girl with the most
markings, reminds me of her mom Dana, also she is one of the biggest pups in the litter.
I already parted with my LC Ultraviolett Von Ryanhaus, she went to live with her sister, I don't want to
breed LC's, even though Violett was gorgeous!!!, the people that have her, love her very much!
They said her sister Jessie has a longer coat & is bigger in size than Violett!
I am also parting with Virgo Von Ryan, she is Theo's half sister, super easy to train, I may change my mind about
parting with Virgo though, the more I think about it, I would very much like to put some ob titles on her, and I love
the fact that she is so easy to train........

Here's pics of Dana's girl pups that I have my eye on, I have to see how they turn out cause Dana has the LC gene,
I don't know if the sire does, time will tell......
They are 8 days old today!
