I have been waiting patiently for Dana to have her pups, she finally had them today,
4 girls & 3 boys!
  All Black & reds.
I am keeping a girl so I am very happy that I have 4 to choose from, they all weighed in at 1 1/2 pounds,
they were huge!
Everyone is happy & healthy! I'm pooped!

I see a red ribbon!  Does that mean you have already selected your girl?  Awwww, they are soooo cute.  They sure look determined to chow down! Congrats!

Actually DebiSue,
and for breeders out there,
I did a stupid thing, in all my years of breeding pups, he was the last pup to be born and
when he was half way out, and the bag had come off, but still he wasn't going to slide back in, I made the foolish mistake
not waiting for the bitch to have contractions, I went and pulled him right out, which in turn caused his imbilical cord to come off, and him intestines were starting to come out a bit, so I put my thumb on it immediatlely and wrapped a face cloth with my thumb on it, and rushed to the vets, the vet put a few stiches in him and alittle glue that they joke around and call crazy glue, and he is doing excellent, my vet saved his life, I told my son he's lucky that his mom didn't cut his cord when he was born.
The vet is 10 minutes from my house, so I am lucky.
I needed to mark him so he can have amoxicilin to prevent any infection, also, I can't tell him apart from the others, he is full of life, real strong!
I know now and I will never repeat that, I feel like an ass, I am so happy my vet is right there all the time when I need her.
THANK-YOU Dr. HennessyAt Carr Island Animal Hospital!
I learn new things good & bad everyday!

And pretty soon DebiSue,  we'll  have our eye on someone!
lots of Sch 3's in the pedigree, so maybe I've got my future Sch prospect!

Thank you all for your kind words!

Ouch! What a way to start life, huh? I bet he grows up to be a tough cookie! I helped with one of Kalie's pups that wasn't making a lot of progress, just sort of hanging there, half in, half out....but I put on a glove & sort of massaged her vulva back, & then things progressed, she did the rest. That pup was Ansgar, she's my special friend to this day. Congratulations, they are gorgeous!  jackie harris

Congrats on your new litter :-)  They all look awesome!!! At least you have 4 to choose from. Anka only had 1 female that was already spoken for, so I didn't feel right with saying that she is mine. I hope that boy gets better soon.
