This is my male puppy, Rock. I got him when he was 10 weeks old. At that time, one ear was all the way up. In the next 2 or 3 weeks the other one started coming up and they sort of "crossed". Then in the past week it has laid back down. The other one still lays across his head. Do I need to do something to help his ear stand up? He will be 4 months old on July 1. Thanks everyone!.jpg)

Hi, he is one very beautiful big boy, look at his strength of bone, do you have a weight on him ?
At 4 months stop worrying, from what I see his ears are both of a normal size and shape I am sure they will both be up very soon.

Thanks, I'm sure I'm a bit partial, but I think he is a babydoll!! And his personality matches his looks. I have not weighted him in a couple of weeks, but at 14 weeks he weighed 43.3 pounds!! I think he'll be a big boy!! Thanks for the reply...I was really starting to be concerned about that ear! Why would it come up and then lay back down....any ideas?

HI,
since you mentioned that both ears were allready up, or kind of, they are very likely to come up for good. Your pup is growing plus he will start getting his new teeth - he needs all his strengh to go through this. After he is done with teething, his ears will come up. Regarding his weight, I would watch that very carefully, the more weight, the more stress on joints & bones. Plus if he gets too much nutriution he is more likely to grow to fast, resulting in an not so good structure of the bones.
Hoprfully this makes sense to you, my english is not so good.
All the best with your pup.
Regards Ulli

He is a big boy, let him have lots of kongs to chew on, the chewing time promotes good muscle to hold the ears up.
