A friend forwarded this website
http://www.agsl.us/
Who on the UScA EB (sure wasn't voted on by the members) approved having a "subsidiary" organization that's purpose is "to oversee the activities for the betterment of the German Shepherd Breed as a total concept which embraces not only temperament and workability of the dogs, but also structure, health and ethical breeding practices." Their "purpose" sounds like what UScA itself is supposed to do?
Aren't these people content running UScA AND the AWDF? Now they want yet another orgainzation under their control :-(
Where did the funding to start the AGSL come from?
It isn't all bad news. Jim Alloway and Frank Phillips are running for UScA President and VP so there is a small light at the end of the tunnel :-)

Is anyone else having trouble accessing this web link? My computer jumps to the USA Sieger Show site.

by gagsd4 on 22 May 2012 - 15:05
It was changed last night, to go directly to the Sieger Show rather than the original website.

by BoCRon on 22 May 2012 - 17:05
Yeah someone sent me that link yesterday and all I got was a title page but no further info. So far I'm thinking what's the point?

by gagsd4 on 22 May 2012 - 22:05
If you had been able to see the website, you would know what the big was. For members of UScA, I would think it would cause righteous anger.

So is the site down or the organization itself?

Postcards announcing this USCA "initiative" were distributed at last weekend's Sieger Show. All very mysterious. Folks were told to "Look at the website," but no personal explanation was offered. Now curious, there is no website to provide information.
Can anyone summarize exactly what this "initiative" is all about?

the web site was not approved by USCA though sme EB members tried to perpetrate such....seems like the people involved in misrepresenting the website and initiative are now backpedalling:-)...glad this is an election year and some of these bozos can be voted out!

I also recieved a card at UScA Sieger show. I was able to get on the site initially, but it just contained some generalized
information and made mention of several prominent USCA figures. But really no substance.
So now the website just redirects to SS website. I was told this was an effort of outreach by
some within USCA to the many who left. But at this point it is all speculation due the website withdrawl.

Bene61,
I think the defunct website was very specific on its intend and purpose. The point is it was NOT voted on or even discussed by the members. I'm not sure the former UScA members who left, made a choice of WDA over
UScA and are now wanting to return. I think most left to protest the JA attempt to tell them what organizations they could belong to? JA is a FAILURE and it and those who initiated it need to be voted out.
