Help, cant resist WHAT COLOR WILL MY SABLE PUP BE WHEN OLDER

hi, guys i need help as i cant resist finding out what color this little guy will be.
His mom is a medium sable and dad is black and tan. Will he be a dark sable(show me pictures how he will look) what will hapen to his white hairs? thanks

Dark red sable ("grau"). Perhaps darker than this dog: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=372954

I think those are light grey hairs not white, he looks like he'll be a grey sable, probably medium dark sable like this one:

If he was going to be dark sable he would have much darker/blacker toes. This is a dark sable.

I'd guess that Admin is right and Ibrahim will be closer than mvf. , probably; but it is all a bit of a gamble, they can alter so much before they are finished. Some dogs never really finish, they go on changing colour slightly all of their lives (though that is more true of black&golds). Just enjoy the inevitable ! "no good dog is a bad colour"

Yes it does have a nice strong head and beautiful ears and you're right about sables changing color shades, that is one very beautiful thing about sables, at this stage it's a guess game, that puppy in the 2nd pic is looking right through the camera, lol.

Here's a lovely head, just look at those ears and mask, I just love the gleam in his eyes, what a beautiful boy !!! isn't our breed the best on earth !!!

Yes I agree with Ibrahim, I think he will look like the first dog posted by him. He will be a medium sable. I love that black sable that Ibrahim posted, and that black/red youngster as well, so alert!
