How would you rate these hips? Thank you ALL so much for your precious inputs!

At best a Mild. I'm guessing Moderate. You have shallow sockets with balls not seated well in the sockets, particularly on the left hip. The femoral heads are poorly formed and there is almost no neck, this time with the right hip being worse. This dog is not going to pass. You can look here for information on hip grades. http://www.offa.org/hd_grades.html

sorry. :(
if you love the dog & want it to live a full life, keep it lean and fit. we had a large male live to 12.5 yrs with a left hip very similar to yours.
it can be done. keeping the dog fit and muscular will help hold it together. low impact. walk, walk, walk. swimming is good too. any excess weight will make the dog fall apart sooner. its not the end of the world, but the dog is going to require special care. best of luck.
