Searching for progeny - Page 1

Hi all , I'm new to this site and it looks great. I have a year and half old gsd and hope to add a second to the family in a few months time so I am taking this time to study her 5 generation pedigree. My question is I can trace a lot of it on this site but dont get why their is only 1 progeny listed by starhopes gunther and mein prinzess as its not the same as the one on the KC 5G pedigre for my bitch - is it up to the owner/breeder to post the information themselves - just wondering as I am thinking seriously about breeding in the future - want to spend a good year or so first understanding the ins and outs of pedigrees/breeding and so on and want a good insight in to the lines my bitch has came from. Thanks for any help
 

All siblings or progeny of any given dog are not always shown here -- Individuals post their own dog -- sometimes breeders will upload all pups in a litter-- sometimes not -- Did you post your bitches pedigree here? if so - send us the link or her full name to find it -- adding her to the database willl give you all the linebreeding without doing anohter thing -- you can also post "proposed breedings" of your bitch and another dog and get the same information for the "what if" litter. Using this database i was able to track one of my dogs pedigees back 13 generations which took it back to 1951 -- it is truly amazing!!

Yeah. Not all breeders will list their litters. A lot of the time a buyer lists their own puppy and many are not familiar with the database so out of who knows how many puppies often only a handful ever get listed.
