If you think that she is eating you out of house and home just wait until she is feeding those puppies.

My puppies are 6 weeks old and weaned now and mum has just started to regulate her intake, she has started to actually leave food in the bowl.

Once her puppies were born she was like a vacuum cleaner and I just kept on refilling the bowl :):).

If he is hungry I would let her eat. Having puppies will take a ton of energy and she should stop eating on her own accord a few hours before going in to full blown labour and she will also clear her stomach and bowels. Refusing food is a sure sign that labour is going to start any time.
