The Canadian government is preparing to go on a cruel wolf-killing spree, shooting thousands of animals from helicopters and poisoning their food.

It's all part of a backwards plan to "make up" for the fact that new tar sands extraction projects will destroy critical caribou habitat in large swaths of Alberta.

I just sent a message calling on the Canadian government to abandon their planned wolf killing and I hope you will join me.

Canada's cruel plan is totally backwards. And it probably won't even help the caribou, whose future without a healthy habitat is bleak – no matter how many wolves are left.

But backlash is building, and if enough of us speak out, we can stop this planned wolf kill and help put the brakes on future tar sands projects.
