I bought a puppy from adel haus german shepherds out of the stud V-Zeppo v. Stadt Mosbach and V-Jessie v. Taffhausstaff. She bought the female bred from Germany and got her akc registered in January and my puppy was born in November. I have not received any kind of paper work for my puppy yet. I have called and emailed with her and left messages but no response. She has more puppies listed. Im just wondering if anyone has heard of Christina Lanckriet she seems to do well with her dogs but just looking at anyone having experience doing business with her. I really love my puppy she is sweet and smart. I would like to show in conformation and other classes. Thanks

Importing a dog can delay registration of the litter. I've learned a lot about registering an imported dog as i am currently in a similar position as you are. the sire of my girl was an import. If you look back through my posts you should find a thread titled 2 years and no akc papers. There is a LOT of good advice in there on how to proceed with obtaining your papers. i am happy to report that mine should be here within the next couple of weeks, although I won't completely let out the sigh of relief until I have them in hand, I am optomisitc that i will see them soon. I have been waiting nearly two years. My girl was born in June 2010.

i have imported a dog from germany and it took me 5 months to get all the paper work done through AKC which also included the DNA, then you have to ad on the litter reg , so i would say it should be done by 6 months at the latest.

ok the mom was reg with AKC in jan, then you add on 2 months for DNA ( march ) and then up to 2 months for the litter reg which would give you May, that is when you should get your papers by.

I've not heard of any buyers of Adel Haus dogs that haven't received their papers, and as trixx mentioned, the process is somewhat more detailed when it involves a bitch that is imported in whelp. If you don't have them by the end of May, and haven't received a plausible explanation of why, THEN you've got an issue.

I had two females bred last year in Germany, one was a new import, the other was already AKC registered as she was imported the year before. On the litter from the new import, she came with her SV paperwork and the stud certificate from Germany. I had to send to Germany to get both the Beischenigung letter for her transfer as well as the deck/stud beischenigung certificate. Once the female is AKC registered you can send in the DNA, once they receive it in house they will register the litter if you have the stud certificate back from Germany, you do not have to wait for the DNA to be processed (2 months). The sending back and forth to Germany to recieve all the documents you need can take some time and you have to hope nothing gets lost, which does happen, I send everything FedEx now.
I will tell you that my litter was born on 7/27/11 I had the litters individual registration applications in my hands on 10/11/11, so at 11 weeks of age. I mailed them to the clients once I received them. However, she may not have sent in to Germany for the breeding certificate until after the litter was born, so maybe that is the delay, she also may have had to wait for her stud certificate. However, you should still at least receive a response to your emails, maybe she is on vacation? I bet you though that she just got a bit behind on sending her stuff to Germany is all I can imagine. I started my process while the female was still pregnant. Be understanding and give her a reasonable amount of time as stated above, but no more than that. I'd start throwing a fit in June if I didn't have my papers. I've never heard anything bad about her so I think she's got a pretty good reputation and have shown with her, so I'm pretty confident you'll get your paperwork. I don't believe anyone that shows at that level and has a long running business is intentionally out to screw anyone on paperwork, I'm sure it'll be fine.

It would be nice if she answered back in some form and let me know what was going on. I understand how life can get at times but i have been trying for a month to get a hold of her. It would be nice to have a copy of her pedigree tho while I wait. So I understand about the paper work and can wait on that no problem. I guess I will not contact her anymore and wait.
The puppy I got is fantastic and just what I wanted.

Well I could't find the females pedigree here on the database but here is a link to the sire's pedigree, I know it's not what you want probably but at least it's something :) Hope you get your answer and your paperwork soon. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=682678

I notice that on her website, on the 'for sale' page, she's listed a young female pup she'd kept back for herself that was the 2011 USA Vice Puppy Siegerin, citing "life circumstances"--so perhaps there's something going on that is making it difficult for her to return calls?
Geez, even as I wrote that I could feel my eyes rolling...<sigh> communication with customers AFTER the sale is a BIG point of contention in my opinion, especially in this time of smart phones and mobile internet and text messaging and email and so on, and so on. These days, about the only valid excuse I accept for someone not returning a call or other form of contact within 7 days (at most) is that they were hospitalized, or trapped in an area where cell signals don't exist (living in such a spot, I know that they DO still exist, even here in the US) for an extended period of time.
Aaaannyway, winston74, it doesn't seem out of line to me if you contacted her every week or so until you at least have gotten an update on where the process is at present...Glad to hear that your little girl is everything you dreamed of, though!
