Hi Everyone,
We rescued this handsome guy last October 25th and was told he was 8 weeks when we got him. However, we took him to the vet the next day and she thought he was at most 4-5 weeks old and weighed a little over 4.5lbs. He is now approx 6 months old and weighs 75lbs. We were told his mother was english mastiff and they thought the father was as well. Anyway we don't necessarily believe that to be true, so I've attached some pics on here to see what yall think...we have guessed he's mixed with maybe german shepherd? some have guessed st bernard, but i'm thinking the shepherd. Would love to hear what others see. Thanks so much!

It would help to have a side view photo of him standing , so we can see body proportions, leg length, etc. I can't tell much from the photos you've posted so far.

I am not sure what he may be or if he does have GSD in him or not, but it looks as though there is DEFINITELY some Mastiff in him. Ha ha, I just read farther in to your post, and see that it has been suggested that he has Mastiff. That is a definite. At 6 months and 75lb that is also a good indication that he has mastiff. Other parent definitely not though, the face is not punched in enough. My reasonably educated dog loving guess would be that he is crossed wtih a Labrador Retriever, or possibly a Lab/GSD cross, a Lab/Mastiff cross or a Lab/GSD/Mastiff cross.
He is going to be a big looker though, love the brindle colour.

Mastiff mixed with maybe Lab? Hansome fella either way! enjoy him.
