Jyl

Well I came home for having dinner at my Dads last night to find my cockatiel (Sally) dead at the bottom of her cage.. she was 18 years old or maybe a year older. She was a rescue my mom and I got about 12-13 years ago.. Her mate died a year ago this past October.. he was 29 years old. Everytime I would come home Sally would go thru her greeting ritual with me... she would open her wings up and act all tough and chirp and chirp. So I would go over and say HI and then she would hiss at me.. Now there is this erry SILENCE in the livingroom.  She was my last cockatiel, I have had tiels since I was 6 years old and I will be 34 in a couple months.

So I have lost 2 pets this week... what else is next??

R.I.P Sally, you sweet sassy thing..

I am sorry. Having had birds myself, I know how their little chatter and silly stunts can liven up a home. You are having a rough time. Hang in there. I lost two seniors myself within a few months. One cat at 23 and an old rescue dog at 16. It takes a while to get over the emptiness.

Tough week, yes, so sorry for your losses, (too.) The silence is the worst. Hang in there Jyl.
