I called the clinic today to donate and see how Jovi is doing. Was told Jovi is doing better and they hope to release her on Saturday.

AWESOME!     ;)

way to go JOVI!

From Facebook Page.....

I am filled with so much happiness and must thank all of you. I will be taking my dear Jovi home tomorrow.

This journey has taught me so much about life, and grief. With Jovi getting sick right after Kobe's tragic death I had no time to grieve. But, jovi being here and alive is keeping me strong.

I love all of my friends so much.

The magnitude of assistance all of you gave is startling.

Thanks again.
Love Jovi and Denise .

Thank you, I'm stuck here at the house with a new litter, so keeping up has been a needed distraction.

I just hope the donations keep coming, the bill's are terribly high and just because Jovi is going home, the bills don't just go away. So many people have been so helpful....over $4,000 has been collected at "chipin" and more by wonderful people calling the veterinary hospital directly.......

This is fantastic news and she looks amazing. I am so very happy for Denise that Jovi has come through this to stay with her. I will try and chip in a bit more too.

What a wonderful outcome.

Aside from Jovi doing great and possibly coming home Saturday, I wanted to update on Kobe. From what I understand, UC Davis is conferencing with the vets involved in both dogs care. They personally do not want to do an autopsy and we haven't been able to find anyone researching this type of torsion. Food samples and a report have been submited to the dog food company and to FDA and my understanding is Denise has talked at length with the dog food company involved. Hopefully out of this tragedy at least we may find out if there is a dietary link to mesenteric torsion.
