I was curious if certain bloodlines produced more sensive dogs. I have a 14 month old DDR male that has great drives and is very intelligent but tends to be a baby about things. Is this because of his age or is it something that is genetics?

At 14months he is pretty young.

When you say a "baby" about things what do you mean?  Some of the best working dogs around are DDR lines.  They do not handle unfair corrections well (most dogs don't).

What behaviors are you finding "babyish?"

Absolutely they do.  I'm a firm believer much, if not all of it is genetics.  There is such a variation in the dogs I have had, and it all boils down to breeding.
Sure, you can help cover or fix some issues, but much of how they handle stressful situations is genetic.
