Liver GSD - Page 1

Okay, I am new to this website so forgive me if my question has already been answered.

I currently own one GSD I rescued her from the shelter two months ago, she is silver sable (dont hold that to me since I am a novice.) She is 8 months going on 9. I am looking to find a play mate for her she is spayed so no threat of puppies from an unknowing owner.  I did some searching online and discovered the Liver colored GSD something I had never seen nor heard of. I have since then done some mild research.

Now for my question. Liver GSD, are they really at higher risk for health issues? Can a Liver GSD be expected to live a full and healthy life like their more common counter parts?
Also if anyone could tell me where I can find a Liver GSD puppy from a good and responsible breeder I would be most gracious. I just fell in love with this color and since not many people will love it, I have a giant heart with plenty of room to cherish this beautiful and shunned GSD.

Please only people that are serious about truthfuly answering my concern and helping Zeba and I to expand our loving family to three.

There are numerous threads on this board related to liver, blue, and panda GSDs. If the search function on the board (upper right hand corner of your screen) isn't working (it hasn't for me in ages) then just Google something like: liver gsd "pedigree database".

You may also want to look for threads about raising two puppies at the same time. There are many cons if you aren't an experienced GSD owner/trainer.
