Hi all,
I am building my kennel at the moment, Can you please advice me with the best size for GSD, I am planing to do (60" x 80") - for every dog -
the width will be 60 inches and the length 80 inches, do you think its will be enough and comfortable for each dog ??

Is this the size of an indoor space with an outdoor run as well? Or is that the total space the dog will have period?

is the dog expected to use this space to go potty too?
If this is a kennel that is the main living space of a dog then 100 sq ft MINIMUM for a GSD, but a 8 or 10 ft by 20-30 feet is most ideal in my experience. Give the dog a place to run, a place to chill/eat/sleep and a place to potty all well separate from each other.

The indoor will be only (60" x 80") -inches- is it good??

NO!!! it would make a good doghouse to sleep.i think a 5foot x 12 foot is good if the dog gets excerise often..
i let my dogs out to run and play,swim etc. they stay is good shape that way.

Inside should be fine. Outdoor youd want a MINIMUM of 5ftwidex10ft long 6ft high.

I don't think the "indoor" is sufficient.
I found this publication to have a lot of good ideas for anyone wanting to develop a small yet modular kennel design for 10 + dogs. Dog's living area is 8 by 10 feet indoorss and 8 b 10 feet outdoors. with a concrete "den".
