Pl. recommend vet/boarding kennel in NJ - Page 1

Pl. suggest a good vet, who is familiar with GSD's near Watchung, NJ. 

Is there a clean kennel to board the dog, willing to drive.

Hmm...Watchung, eh?  Not well-stocked with North Jersey references, having been a South Jersey gal... I do know that there's a fairly well-respected, long-established American show lines GSD breeder in Hunterdon county, and they probably could point you toward a vet who is well-versed in the breed and it's issues, and a boarding kennel that is equally so.  Their webpage is: http://www.alkarah.com/

I used to live in Fanwood and used Best Friends http://www.bestfriendspetcare.com/north-plainfield-nj/  .  I had a Cane Corso that was intimidating looking and they had not problem with him.  They do nickle and dime you with the walks or group play sessions.  Of course you need all up to date shots and bordetella.  Whenever I visit a boarding kennel I do so unannounced.  I like to see what goes on during the day when customers are not around.  I've seen empy water buckets during the summer, dogs being sprayed with hoses while cleaning the kennel.  Good luck with your search and let us know how you make out.
