My friend is breeding this litter and I am thinking about getting a pup, just wanted to get some opinions. Thanks!

If it is your friend, I'm going to assume you like what you see in the male and female. Everything else is crossing your fingers.

Mating check on this page is a great thing. Except that it doesn't work at this point: Belschik is 2-2 for the father of the litter and 3,3 for the pups. OK, Belschik may be a very good dog, and this could justify the otherwise forbidden (in fact forbidden) in-breeding.
Regards,
Ursula

Actually it's basically 3,3-3 on Belschik since his litter brother is in the mother's pedigree. Probably going to get some crazy midgets.

Yeah, I wondered that. Why isn't the linebreeding feature picking up the 3,3-3 on Belschik?

Perhaps not as nice as ped as my current litter but back aways you have some power house producers in Umsa,Gido,Troll, and the brothers Blacky and Berry, pups can be a crap shoot just nice to stack the odds in your favor as much as possible if you get one let us know how the pup turns out

Thanks guys! Yea, I'm pretty unfamiliar with the linebreeding process. I know some people do it, but I think the same, isn't it inbreeding?

Hahaha Kristen, the last thing I want is crazy midgets :)

Not likey your get crazy midgets, with so many shepards oversized today to have a dog closer to the standard is refreashing, most of the top dogs out there today you will find sometype of linebreeding and many of the better breeders use linebreeding to increase chances of getting top results, not to say you cant have a great dog with no line breeding. For there are examples of them also.
