Snusjunkie I agree I cant be sure about the Lines but anyway I'm almost sure that or has a good number of Ring titles In their because both mals and gsd with alot of dogs with ring titles seems to bite alot more lille the video but ofcourse breeding says the most ;)

yes maybe the RING gsd came from the same lines as the schh lines only but mostly of the RING gsd have these lines 2,3,4 generations back and have some RING generations behind so they have developed another type than the ordinary schh gsd working dog that can happen with only 2 generations of breeding dogs with exellent RING titles so it does not matter that much if there are schh lines back in the pedigree as long as there are a few generations that has proved themselves in RING or KNPV , rescue or anything

Judron Yes that is what I mean when I go to the schh training facilities thereis rarely any dog I Would own ,they lack drive and they cant handle pressure and cant h Keep i In the drive unless the handler og decoy has to animate the dog All the time to keep the drive I Can look at WUSV or Bsp and there is not much of these dogs I like I never said a good dog is'nt a good dog no matter the Lines just look at Lübeck vom der mahlermeister and his father The sport determins or Can help to select the Best dogs Just look at the mals schh is not the sport the made this exstreme working traits it has that is good breeding and exstreme sport and You Can certainly often see that mals off ring and KNPV Lines are more exstreme than the IPO Lines

Sport and genetics play a Big role because er Can naturally select what people like that is how er got to All these different breeds by selecting the traits er like we Can train a dog to dó almost anything so sport and genetics play a Big role Dogs from Ring Lines loves to bite more so than If we bred two rescue dogs because the traits they are using are different no matter the breed

No its not the sport that selects the Best dogs but its the genetics not the sport but sport helps us select the Best genetics , that it how we have been selecting the breeds for years no matter If its a hunting dog or herding dog trials helps us choose witch dogs should be bred I Think If You bred hunting dogs and they cant Hunt that they are used In breeding

There are dogs that are littermates where one do ringsport/KNPV and the other SCH, even if they have only SCH-dogs in the pedigree, so it´s probably more about what type of dogs/lines someone prefer. Also, if french ring is superior then those mals breed for that sport for long would be better than most GSDs not only in preydrive but in other traits too, this is not the case I think  it´s safe to say. But of course there could be intressting dogs with much ringdogs in the pedigree, even if many of them seems to have at least 50% SCH-dogs up close.

I had the opportunity to meet this dog when I trialed one of my dogs in November. He is definitely a dog I would seriously consider breeding to. Why?
First is because of himself. Self assured, very high prey drive, clear-headed and calm, and super grips. Second, you can see he represents his pedigree well and he has super mother lines. "Behind every great male is a great female."
   Whatcha think Ron?

How much of this discussion is affected by the location or country the dog is from. For example where I live their is no KNPV, french Ring type of sport. Their is sch and I also enjoy SDA or ppd work. Also a top competitor in Sch or a top competitor in Ring which is a better dog? For example a corvette or a porsche? Are they not both super dogs for what they do. they have the proper breeding and training both in control and power? My point is this if I competed in KNPV then yes I want lines that have a track record for producing the kind of dog that excells, if I want a high level sch dog then I would go to lines that have produced that. I would not by an american show line dog to compete in Ring, just as I would not go to ring lines to show in the ring.
